Post PC is Down. HELP!!!
Last Saturday, during a wind storm, power surge caused my power source for fry. Replaced an 800w for an 850w. Since I made this replacement, my pc will freeze/lock up while playing BO and need to re-boot. Occasionally, I will get a screen saying something about bios update needed. Strangely, I have no problems playing any other game (i.e., Arma2).

Any ideas?
Is it possible with power surge did more damage?
Any way to diagnosis hardware?

BTW, I'm no Turtle so please talk slowly and use little words. Kinda like the way we talk to Pilot.

What did I do to get involved here. I didn't respond because others had stepped up to help and when I got on TS later it sounded like they solved the problem.

I understand that I am the "go to" guy 8) (yeah right, in my dreams...lol) around here but other members have lots of valuable experience and advice too.

I'm teasing of course.  Our members are usually very quick to jump in and offer help (advice, parts, cash) and there wasn't a need for any comments from me. The good news is that's he's up and running again!!!

That's a disk with all the hardware diagnostic tools you'll ever need. Gotta look for it on your favorite site that hosts torrents.
